2019 1st Half Vs 2nd Half
My first half of 2019 was a huge contrast to my second half. I passed my Intermediate Examinations this year and moved into college in the latter half of the year. Briefly speaking the first of my year was spent preparing for an exam to get into my second half part of the year.
Introducing myself, I am currently a first-year student pursuing a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay. I am quite excited to write this answer because I am still amazed at how my life has changed over the year. I cannot simply compare and say which part of the year was better, but herein I put a battle between the first half of the year me and the latter half of the year me. Enjoy!
1st Guy- I am a sort of early morning guy. I sleep for 7 hours regularly.
2nd Guy - I am a late-night beast. I find it weird to sleep before 2 AM. I have the weirdest sleep schedules. I sleep when I feel it gets boring. Time, there is nothing of that sort, I can sleep anything between 0 to 16 hours. I can skip sleep for an entire day or can even sleep an entire day.
1st Guy- I have plans to wake up early and do some work on some days.
2nd Guy - I have plans to go to sleep after having breakfast in the morning on some days.
1st Guy- I eat three meals every day. I feel weird when I am unable to have a proper meal though I satisfy myself with some light snacks on those occasions.
2nd Guy - If skipping meals was an art, I would be an artist. There are only a few days when I eat three proper meals. I am not the only one to blame for this because the mess is also my partner in this crime.
1st Guy- Friends are the ones with whom I study together and our discussions are primarily based on study-related things.
2nd Guy - Friends are the ones with whom I study together but only during exams, the rest of the time we find innovative ways to pass our time and our discussions would find themselves lucky to be study-related.
1st Guy- I don't have a particularly "active" social life. My life is usually centered around a few people I know. I have a limited number of friends.
2nd Guy - I make new friends regularly. Interacting with new people confidently is one of the traits that I have cultivated here.
1st Guy- I regularly indulge in football or cricket but that is for a fixed period in a day. I do not take them seriously.
2nd Guy - Sports are now something which has a broad meaning for me. I play a plethora of them regularly and have a profound serious interest in long-distance running.
1st Guy- Finding a day out in a month for hanging out with friends or visiting new places is not encouraging enough.
2nd Guy - Hanging out with friends, visiting places, treks, etc all happen quite often.
1st Guy- I watch movies and stuff but only once a week or so. Long TV series have to wait.
2nd Guy -I binge-watch everything.
Sparing these things the thing that has not changed is academics still goes on but now there are many more things apart from it happening in my day.
