Suggestions for Government and Civic bodies to fight Corona crisis

Amidst the deeply rooted Corona crisis, this world has reached a state where a comeback looks far more uncertain. Still, we must not lose our hope in science and must have an infinite faith for the worst to not happen. Our brothers and sisters are working all round the clock to slow down and stop the monster from expanding. They are our heroes, and what they have done for others while exposing themselves to the risk of death can be never forgotten. Yet everyone must remember that the war is still going on. The right decisions and actions they make or take will protect the whole world.  Now, what can I do? I hope they possess infinite strength, determination, and persistence in these tough times, but the question was what else can I do than moral condolences? Nothing, just wait. Hello all, I am back here with suggestions for civic bodies and have suggested some actions for them to manage the Corona crisis. My advice is a bit inclined to the Indian context but I have tried my be...

Suggestions for jobs and businesses affected by Corona crisis

Hi, I am not a business coach or advisor. I am just a first-year CS undergraduate and I just wanted to share my thoughts and suggestions for small scale jobs and businesses affected by COVID-19. My post is targeted towards people whose jobs have come to a halt during this lockdown period. It is the perfect time for you to relax and enjoy with your family. But of course, you cannot neglect your job completely and with the upcoming global recession where the markets are expected to slow down, you just cannot sit back and watch yourself drowning. You must keep in mind that you are enough equipped for the worst possible long run, otherwise...

Suggestions for Professors based on my first year IITB experience

Hi, I am a freshman CS undergraduate and study in IIT Bombay. To those who don't know about our academic calendar, I am just giving a brief summary which should more or less match with most of the running universities. "We have our annual academic calendar divided into two semesters and in each semester we have to earn a certain number of credits. Credits are awarded upon clearing a course may it be a compulsory course or an optional course. Clearing the course is generally based on four examinations, two of them being Midsem and Endsem examinations (the bigger ones) and the other two are quizzes one before and the other after the midsems. There may be some course projects also but it is not mandatory. It solely depends on the professors how they design the course but what I have described is more or less followed in most of the courses."  So I wanted to handout some suggestions that I feel will reinstall the enthusiasm and build a better learning environment. ...

Social Media Scheduling-A Teenager's Priority

Image
SCHEDULING THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA Believe me, this small thing can help you buy a lot of time, health and happiness. My post is targeted towards Millenials. I myself am a millennial and I know the urge you have to open your phones once in a while to check someone’s status updates or to share a meme with your friend, or to see what others are doing but dude pause for a minute. Have you ever kept a check on how much time in a day you use your so-called Apps? Obviously much more than you would like to. It might be shocking to hear but on average a teen spends around 3 hours only on social media. This excludes all other mobile applications that you use throughout the day. So don’t even bother about your total on-screen time, I am speaking about   social media  only . That counts to around 1.5 months of your year spent on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc. You follow your urges so much knowingly or unknowingly that you end up complaining about not having time for a ...
